DS16 Lift & Slide Glazing Options
We have a comprehensive range of glazing options, which can be customized to specific applications. We have a guide on how to specify glazing and we are also very happy to be contacted to give further advice. The following outlines the more common options that we offer:
Glass
Thermal Performance: We use Saint Gobain Planitherm Total glass as standard, which is the best performing soft coat glass on the market (equivalent to Pilkington OptiTherm), ensuring that all windows that we supply have very good thermal performance.
Acoustic Performance: We have a range of glass thicknesses and laminated options to provide the required acoustic performance
Security: Our windows and door sets all have very good security performance. Our glazing systems have passed BS 7950 and standard laminated glass will give very good security performance.
Safety: We offer a range of toughened and laminated glass for safety performance.
Gas: We offer the options of Argon fill and Krypton fill. Argon offers very good performance gains over air and is competitively priced. Krypton will only offer an advantage over Argon at small cavity widths of 12mm or less.
Spacer Bar
Aluminium Spacer: We have aluminium spacer bars in the following range of colours.
This spacer can also be used as an internal bar between plant on glazing bars.
Warm Edge Spacer: We have warm edge spacer bars in a range of colours (see image on the left).
Note: Only Charcoal warm edge spacer bars can be used as an internal bar between plant on bars.
Obscure
As well as our extensive range of clear glass options we have a wide choice of obscure patterned glass available in any of our windows, all of which have different options which provide optimised performances.
The following original designs are now available, if preferred however there is the option of a patternless glass with a satin finish, which diffuses the light or a white interlayer can be used in laminated glass. Five levels of privacy are available, graded from 1 (least obscuration) to 5 (greatest obscuration).
