End Grain Sealing
Over the last six years the BRE has carried out thousands of tests on timber finishes. They have concluded that the biggest failure is caused by moisture penetration through the end grain.
All external joinery manufactured by George Barnsdale has the end grain treated and then bonded with adhesive. This allows us to offer an 8 year warranty on the paint finish, underwritten by our paint supplier.
