Ordering Process

Making sure you get exactly the right windows and door sets for your project is vital to us all.

Although you will have short term objectives which may include compliance to planning, listed build consent, building regulations etc, we want our products to last 100's of years with minimum maintenance.

Long term durability can often be increased by careful design of the openings. For example by fitting windows in reveal or using stone cills. Two things the Victorians did very well. We are really keen to give advice on these types of issue.

The normal ordering process is as follows:

  1. If necessary we can make a pre-project visit to discuss requirements and options.

  2. When we receive an enquiry we can produce a price. The price will include a sketch of each proposed unit with a detailed specification of what has been priced for. Explanations of variable items will be included. For example "The type of handle"

  3. Detailed CAD drawings can be produced at this stage and CAD drawings can be provided for incorporation into project drawings.

  4. U values for each item will also be provided.

  5. At the time of order we can arrange a site visit by someone very experienced in our products, to offer advice as necessary. We can also carry out a full site survey.

  6. From this information we can update the information provided at the time of quotation and produce a full specification and drawings for approval. This will be in a similar format to the original quotation, making it easier to review the requirements.

  7. Once this is agreed our system can then produce all our production information including the codes for the automated machinery we use.

  8. We will then deliver to an agreed schedule, usually to the site.

This integrated system minimises the likelihood of information being altered as it is transferred from different systems.

If a fitting service is required we have a number of approved installers based around the country.
