Window and Door Warranty
Our window and door warranty is supported by individual warranties from our suppliers & verified by the BWF Timber Window Accreditation Scheme
George Barnsdale are approved manufacturers under the British Woodworking Federation Timber Window Accreditation Scheme.
For us to be accredited our suppliers are required to provide warranties for each element that goes into the manufacture of our windows.
This, along with good design, testing and manufacturing practices means our windows will perform for many decades with minimum maintenance.
All windows are delivered with storage, fitting and maintenance instructions, which must be strictly adhered to in order to protect the warranty. If there are any questions or uncertainty our technical department will be pleased to help.
What is Covered:
Preservations
All our windows and doors are treated with a Boron based preservative. This is one of the most environmentally friendly preservatives available. It is covered by a 30 year manufacturer's warranty.
Weatherseals
All opening lights are fitted with weather seals and have a 10 year manufacturer's warranty
Hardware
All hardware has a 5 year manufacturer's warranty
Finishes
For windows finished with a translucent finish, a 6 year warranty applies & for those finished with opaque, a 10 year warranty applies. (This is subject to exposure)
Glazing
All factory fitted insulating glass units have a 10 year manufacturer's warranty.
