Design & Performance
Our timber windows and doors are designed to perform to the highest level and to last. Every product starts off with these as the design criteria and it is after the design has been optimised for this that we finalise the aesthetic details.
Design
We have been using computer design and modelling packages for over 25 years and this has allowed us to continuously design, review and develop our products. An early adoption of continental and European design best practice has allowed us to introduce performance features into traditional designs found across the UK. By working closely with industry leading suppliers, we are developing the materials and fitting systems to constantly develop and optimise our designs.
Testing
Product testing is the only way to validate a design to ensure that it is performing as intended. The initial stages are done through modelling and simulation and this is followed by in house testing to refine the product. The final stage is to use a third party UKAS approved test house to validate the performance and, using sophisticated test equipment identify areas for improvement. Our large library of third party test results also provides you with confidence that are products can meet our claims.
Production
The use of advanced computer controlled machinery (linked directly to our quotation and order confirmation software) and robot applied paint finish, is coupled with skilled craftsmanship. The result is a precisely made product that provides optimal performance and an unrivalled finish.
Research
Alongside our design and development, we invest significantly in research relating to timber and window and door design, both internally and with well recognised research institutes. The outcome of this work is in depth understanding within our workforce, better design and a contribution to the improving standards within the industry.
Guarantees
A key feature of our windows and doorsets is that they will last. Through minimal maintenance the products can provide years of life retaining their appearance as though they were new. Due to our design detail our material suppliers have backed our guarantees providing you with the confidence that not only have you got industry leading guarantees, but also that they are backed up by multinational suppliers.
Accreditations
We make some very significant claims about the quality and performance of our products, but find that many inferior products are also trying to make similar claims. We hope that our product details do present the features and benefits of the product in an clear and informative way, but believe that it is only through third party testing and accreditations that the advantages of our products can be made clear.
