Historic Timber Entrance Doors

Our historic timber entrance doors are a good example of our ability to match original designs. From period features like flush connections to slim-width doors, our flexible range makes it possible to specify a true replica.

As is the case with doors from the Traditional Range, high security is provided through a multi-point locking system. Where key locks are specified, only cylinder locks that meet TS007 3 Star British Kitemark and the SS312 Sold Secure diamond standards are used.

To replicate original locking methods, we offer a heritage locking system. Featuring a higher lock position on the external facing door, the heritage locking system has an internal thumb turn to replicate a traditional latch.

A number of glazing options are available, including those with traditional optics, for both single and slim insulated glazing units. To retain the authentic reflections of historic glass, all doors can be provided with hand or machine drawn glass.

All historic timber entrance doors are available with a selection of authentic ironware and furniture. To match the original we offer a collection of heritage paint and stain colours. If the colour you are specifying is not available in these standard options (see the Materials for all options), then we can provide a colour matching service. All we would require is a physical sample to match to, or an existing RAL, Natural Colour System or British Standard colour reference.
