Traditional Timber French Doors

Our traditionally styled timber French doors provide exceptional levels of performance and durability. With a choice of one and two handle locking systems, our French doorsets are easy to operate.

The two handle locking system is our standard opening option; the one handle system is offered to replicate period design. For the one handle system, the master door is operated by a handle and the slave doors has shootbolts both top and bottom which are operated by a concealed lever that is accessible when the master door opens.

Outstanding security is provided by concealed multi-point locks with integrated shootbolts in the secondary door, and the incorporation of advanced cylinder locks. We only fit cylinder locks that meet the TS007 3 Star British Kitemark and the SS312 Sold Secure diamond standards (the highest rating in both schemes). To meet PAS 24 and The Building Regulations 2010: Security-Dwellings (Approved Document Q) standards, security laminated glass can be incorporated. We would recommend this for French doorsets at ground level and that are located at the rear of the property.

Protection against the elements is provided by concealed gaskets and sealing plugs between the doors, meaning that when the doors are closed the entirety of the frame is completely sealed. For a hardwearing finish all doors are provided with a stained hardwood cill as standard.

To achieve high levels of customisation our timber French doors are offered with a choice of glazing, paint and stain options plus a broad collection of door furniture. To provide period detailing we can also incorporate astragal bars into the design. To browse all options, please see the Materials tab.
