Historic Wooden Entrance Doors

In the replacement of wooden front doors for listed properties and those homes in a conservation area, period design features are essential in providing a true replica. Our historic doors are available with period details like flush connections to slim-width doors for sympathetic replacement.

We do offer a number of standard designs for the replacement of wooden front doors, but we can also build to bespoke designs. To match the original door we offer a choice of glazing, including stained, coloured and obscure glass. Fanlights and sidelights can be designed into the door as required.

For further customisation to allow for the sympathetic replacement of historic doors, we can provide almost any colour paint or stain finish. We do offer an extensive collection of paint and stain colours but we can also colour match. All we need to colour match is a RAL reference or a physical sample. To browse our colour options please see the Materials tab.

As is the case with the entrance doors in our Traditional Range, our historic doors incorporate multi-point locking and advanced cylinder locks to provide a high level of security. With multi-point locking a number of locking points are distributed along the edge of the door. On historic doors featuring our heritage locking system, the multi-point locking system engages all bolts automatically when the door is closed.

The heritage locking system has a higher lock position and internal thumb turn to replicate a traditional latch.
